1 John 2:24–27
As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—eternal life. I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray. As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.

Real transformation does not occur merely by accumulating information or listening to sermons. Growth happens when the Holy Spirit presses divine truth directly into the places you would rather avoid.
The Spirit does not flatter. He rarely starts with the areas where you are flourishing; He begins with the places you defend and excuse. He illuminates:
- Where your kindness is performative.
- Where your compassion is selective.
- Where pride is disguised as conviction.
- Where self-protection is mislabelled as wisdom.
He works with firm gentleness. His goal is never to embarrass you, but to free you from remaining the same. Stop resisting the Spirit’s quiet promptings, especially when they touch what you prefer to keep hidden.
