fairness

January 4th

But he’s already made it plain how to live, what to do, what God is looking for in men and women. It’s quite simple:

Do what is fair and just to your neighbour, be compassionate and loyal in your love, And don’t take yourself too seriously— take God seriously.

Micah 6:8 MSG

It has been an eventful week. I didn’t have the mini-vac I was hoping for. The phones were not switched off, but I did have some lovely walks with Lorelei and some lovely encounters with friends.

When you need a tonic, one is provided and for me, this was in the shape of the Watchnight service. A pin could have been heard dropping during the talk and the voices lifted up and carried the roof off, a pleasing aroma for the Lord.

I had informal visits to first one and then two special people. So much encouragement, I am still smiling days later when thinking of what was said. Such a blessing to have these people in my life.

The shape and colour of the wobble has changed, no longer flat, watery, muddy and blue, it has taken on the form of an object just coming into view. My reality is being reset to factory settings, perspective restored, becoming breath by breath the person the Lord intends me to be.

Counting my blessings: one, two, three.
