The final days of the month bring us to the end of Ruth’s story, but not the end of God’s story. Ruth and Boaz marry. Obed is born. Naomi’s arms, once empty, now hold new life. And the genealogy at the end of the book reminds us that Ruth’s faithfulness becomes part of the line that leads to David, and ultimately to Christ.

This week invites us to think about legacy  the quiet ways our faithfulness shapes the future, and how God weaves our small stories into his great one. Ruth never knew how far her obedience would reach. She simply lived faithfully in her moment, and God used it for generations.

    Day 28  A New Beginning

  Ruth 4:13 

Ruth and Boaz marry, and the Lord grants conception. After so much loss and waiting, new life begins  tender, hopeful, deeply restorative.

New beginnings often come quietly. They don’t erase the past, but they redeem it. Ruth’s story doesn’t forget her grief or her courage  it gathers all of it into a new chapter shaped by God’s kindness.

  A gentle practice for today:   Name one new beginning you long for. Hold it gently before God.  Lord, bring new life where I need it most.
