Ruth 3:18 

Naomi tells Ruth to wait, because Boaz will not rest until the matter is settled. Her confidence is striking. The same woman who once felt empty now speaks with assurance, trusting Boaz’s integrity and God’s unfolding plan.

That confidence didn’t come from nowhere  it grew from watching Boaz act with honour, from seeing God’s kindness already at work in the grain Ruth carried home. Sometimes we’re asked to trust what God is doing behind the scenes, on the strength of what we’ve already seen him do.

  A gentle practice for today:   Hold one situation before God and say:  Lord, I trust you to work while I wait.
