Ruth 1:15 -18
Ruth’s vow is one of the most courageous moments in Scripture. She chooses Naomi’s people, Naomi’s God, and Naomi’s future. She steps into uncertainty with loyalty and remarkable faith, not knowing what Bethlehem will hold, only who she will walk with.
Courage often looks like staying when leaving would be easier. It looks like committing when the future is unclear, choosing faithfulness over fear. Ruth’s courage is unshowy but deeply rooted in love the kind of courage a new season asks of us too: to begin again, to trust God with the unknown, to walk forward in hope.
A gentle practice for today: Ask God for courage in one area of your life. Lord, give me Ruth’s steadiness as I step into what’s ahead.
