Day 10  A Watchful Eye

  Ruth 2:5

Boaz notices Ruth. Before she speaks, before she asks for anything, before she knows who he is, he sees her. His attention isn’t intrusive  it’s protective. He asks about her, wanting to understand her story.

Being seen is a deep human need. Ruth has left everything familiar; she is vulnerable, foreign, alone in the field  and yet not invisible. Boaz’s watchful eye mirrors God’s heart: he notices our steps, our struggles, our courage, long before we call out to him.

A gentle practice for today:   Sit for a moment and let this truth settle: God sees me.  Lord, help me rest in your attentive care.
