Sept 8  Permission to Begin Again

  Ruth 2:2

Ruth asks Naomi for permission to go into the fields and glean. It is a simple request, but it carries courage  she is stepping into a new life, a new community, a new rhythm, without waiting for everything to be perfect.

Beginning again often requires humility. Ruth does not demand a place or assume favour; she simply asks for the chance to gather what she needs. That’s often exactly how a fresh start feels  a new routine, a quiet step into the field. God honours beginnings, even small ones. Ruth’s request opens the door to everything that follows.

A gentle practice for today:   Ask God for permission to begin again in one area of your life.  Lord, give me courage for the first step.
