I stand tall - not in the ability
Nor gifts, accomplishments – whatever
I stand tall - not in my past
The pain, the erroneous way
I stand tall in Jesus Christ
His death and resurrection
So I can stand as you judge
As you imagine my life as it was
The sinner who stood before you
Rejected by your Pharisean eyes
I stand because I’ve been touched
Placed here among your people
To show that even the amply bad
Can be saved just like you
As was said so long before
“I fall and yet by faith I stand,
I stand and will not let You go”
No test or temptation that comes your way is beyond the course of what others have had to face. All you need to remember is that God will never let you down; he’ll never let you be pushed past your limit; he’ll always be there to help you come through it.
